Skiing In Whistler

Starting mid-November until the end of June, Whistler is the perfect mountain escape and a genuine winter wonderland. Immersed in the Coast Mountain range of British Columbia, Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort consistently offers the most reliable snow conditions in North America and is only a two-hour drive (120 km) drive north of Vancouver.

Whistler Village's elevation is 675 meters/ 2,214 feet while Whistler Mountain is 2,182 meters/ 7,160 feet tall. Blackcomb Mountain's elevation is 2,284 meters/ 7,494 feet.

This means glorious, snowy winters in Whistler Village and throughout the almost 8,200 acres of ski runs and trails and many world class events and activities:

  • The Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre
where rivers, mountains and people meet - embodies the spirit of partnership between Whistler's two Native cultures, the Squamish Aboriginal people and the Lil'wat Aboriginal people. Squamish Nation territory extends from North Vancouver through Squamish to Whistler, and Lil'wat Nation territory starts in Whistler and extends north through Pemberton to Mount Currie. Our traditional territories overlap in Whistler. The Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre, the first of its kind in Canada, offers guests the opportunity to learn about two distinctly different BC First Nations.
