Our smaller size but highly efficient operation is specialized in the execution of high-end residential projects, offering a full spectrum of professional services, including design and contracting to manufacturing and installation. Mountain Design specializes in adapting to the needs of it’s clientele be it a custom piece of furniture, a unique built-in, a kitchen remodeling project or an entire new home cabinetry & millwork package. Yves Wenger, Owner of Mountain Design lives in Whistler BC Canada with his family since 1990. Yves, was born in Switzerland, Studied interior design at the Art deco school in Geneva CH, and further graduated with a degree as a journeyman finishing carpenter, Timber framer & stair builder. To add to his overall knowledge of the complex art of woodworking, Yves next completed a secondary degree as a Master's in joinery & cabinet making.

Once having successfully acquired and master all facets of the woodworking & design industry, Yves quickly move to self employment, in practicing both consulting and managing several high profile projects, from design to completion. This included all aspect of intuitive interior design and project management execution, while fusing rugged Timber framing skill with the fine art of joinery & furniture making, successfully achieving perfection and innovation for his clients. Moving to Whistler, BC in 1990, Yves quickly saw the potential to fuse his Swiss knowhow with the refreshing and innovative design concepts of the West Coast. The results are an impressive continuation, of impeccable workmanship, blended with his innate sense of design, creating truly beautiful art while remaining wonderfully functional.
