Article Publication Date: January 03, 2012
The first two months of Whistler Blackcomb’s 2011.2012 winter season have been incredible. The Christmas season was good to Whistler with 123 cm (48 in) falling since December 17th bringing our total snow fall to 449cm (176 in). All of the guests who joined us over the holiday period enjoyed a White Christmas at Whistler Blackcomb and those that are yet to arrive will be greeted with a 165 cm base (65 in), a full 8171 acres of terrain and 5280 vertical feet of excellent skiing and riding. With nine straight days of fresh new snow over the holidays Whistler Blackcomb has some of the best snow conditions in the world. There is the potential for 60cm (23 in) in the next 4 days adding to the 115cm (42 in) since Christmas Eve. 2011 was an incredible year for Whistler and 2012 looks to start off with more of the same.
