The Upper Village location of Whistler resort features the Adventure Zone during the Summer season. There is a variety of outdoor activities available each day along with the popular Farmer’s Market on Sunday. The Adventure Zone is located in the quiet Upper Village area of the resort at the base of Blackcomb mountain. There is mini putt, climbing walls, bungee, horseback riding and a variety of other outdoor activities available to the general public. The new Whistler Olympic Plaza concert stage hosts a variety of performances during the warm Summer season. The facility is located in the village and has the great lawn to accommodate the spectators. The outdoor music concerts are free to attend and are family friendly. A wide selection of music styles are featured at this performance stage. The great lawn is nice when you bring a blanket to sit on during the outdoor concerts. Many children enjoy playing games on the great lawn and the local playground. Whistler Blackcomb resort has expanded the Summer mountain biking trails to the top of Whistler mountain. The new alpine single track trails were the last part of the already impressive setup that now goes right to the top of the mountain. It is by far the best mountain biking experience available to moderate and advanced riders. The alpine terrain is rather challenging and the amount of elevation covered during the decent is impressive. The best part is that you can take the chair lift to the top and ride down. Make sure to purchase your Top Of The Mountain lift ticket early as possible because they are limited.
