Beautiful British Columbia, Canada is home to some of the very best alpine cedar wood available for carving by hand. Local artists use the natural wood to make excellent items that can be purchased at the local markets and retail galleries. The forests in BC are very old and produce some of the most rustic looking wood patterns available. The photo below is from the making of alpine cedar wood bowls that are sold at the local Farmer’s Market in the Upper Village area of the resort.
