Local photographer Blake Jorgenson went up to take part in the PEAK 2 PEAK Alpine Experience and this is what he had to say and show: "This week I was able to head up on top of Whistler mountain and enjoy one of the many new hiking trails that have been created with my Mom and her friends. The High Note Trail is a must do that starts from the Whistler Peak Chair and traverses along the backside of Whistler Peak and behind Piccolo with unbelievable views of Cheakamus Lake, Black Tusk, and fields of colourful wildflowers. After making the traverse over to Flute, the trail turns back through the Burnt Stew Basin and then through Harmony Bowl with a quick stop at the crystal clear water of Harmony Lake before hiking back up to the Gondola. It’s wonderful how Whistler has grown to offer activities in the summer for absolutely everybody. It’s great that I can hit the bike park with my friends in the morning and enjoy a nice hike in the afternoon with my Mom."
