The main event at the 2012 Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival was held on Saturday night in the village. The Big Air jump was set and the skiers showed thousands of spectators how it is done. This event features only one very large jump and about 30 freestyle competitors who are trying to earn the big money and the title. Thousands of spectators lined the snow covered slopes at the base of Whistler mountain to enjoy the action sports. A live band plays on the stage at the base of the mountain in the village. This is a free event that is presented by the Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival each year in Whistler, BC, Canada. The freestyle action is very impressive and everyone enjoys the show going into the night.
