Cedar Wood Canoe Carving At The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre

Cedar wood canoe carving at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in the Upper Village area of Whistler, BC, Canada. Lil’wat First Nations band members carve a new canoe in front of the building on a sunny afternoon during the Spring season. This is the the traditional method of carving a new canoe using a cedar tree and hand tools. The smell of the cedar wood while it is being carved is excellent. Visit the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre during your stay in Whistler resort and experience nature as it once was when you take the guided tour.
