Family Fun At Whistler Blackcomb Resort

March is family month at Whistler Blackcomb. Wide selections of specialty rental gear, family-friendly off-hill activities and customized on-hill programs for all ages combine to make Whistler Blackcomb the top-ranked family ski resort in Canada by SKI readers.

In March, we give a shout out to our youngest rippers. Pack up the little ones and come explore our on-mountain family zones, learning centers, tree forts and Magic Castle. Or, for totally different downhill thrills, bring the gang to the Coca-Cola® Tube Park - located in the Base 2 Zone on Blackcomb Mountain (open until mid-April).

Not only do we have more terrain, we have consistent snow conditions throughout the season. This combination attracts some of the best instructors on the planet. While you're here, you should take advantage of their knowledge and take a lesson. There are lessons for everyone, from our Max4 Group Lessons for all ability levels to the Extremely Canadian skiing clinics for the more adventerous skiers!

Fresh Tracks Mountain Top Breakfast finishes on April 9, 2012. Don’t miss out on the delicious, mountain-sized breakfast buffet and your fill of fresh powder before the rest of the world is even out of bed!

When is the last time you wined & dined at 6000 feet? The popular Winemaker Apres series at Steeps Grill & Wine Bar is a unique opportunity to dine atop Whistler Mountain. At each event one of B.C.’s best wines is featured and paired with locally sourced culinary delights. The afternoon includes a five course meal paired with five glasses of wine. It is guaranteed to be a feast for your senses!

The defining celebration of Whistler, the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival is a 10 day and night showcase of the latest progressions in the skiing and snowboarding world, where even the arts events are packed full of adrenaline. Combining Canada’s largest free outdoor concert series with career-making showdowns of action sports and lifestyle fashion, photography and film, the best spring snow conditions, and burn-the-candle nightlife, it’s a celebration of everything that’s core to mountain culture.

In a world where nothing comes for free, Whistler, aka Gnarnia, offers up a 10 day program of music concerts spanning a vast variety of genres to feed your soul and support your wallet. Stuff dreams are made of: an epic schedule of award-winning artists will be on hand to keep the party juices flowing for the entire 10 days of the Festival.

Spring brings milder temperatures and softer snow conditions on the mountains. While we do receive some precipitation, it is usually in the form of snow at higher elevations. And when the sun breaks out, you'll see people skiing in shorts and lounging on our many mountain patios. With 844 CM in total accumulation so far, including 71cm in the past week, we are looking at fantastic spring conditions again!
