World Ski and Snowboard Festival
TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival presents the Association of Freeskiing Professionals (AFP) World Championship featuring the invitational Slopestyle, the invitational Big Air and the open Degree Superpipe. Competitors in the Olympic-sized Degree Superpipe will aim high and throw-down in the most impressive display of on-mountain athleticism. Combining passion, prowess, positivity and pure attitude, the Degree Superpipe lays it on the line for committed and confident skiers to take home a huge prize purse and priceless bragging rights. - Located at Blackcomb Pipe. This is the first Slopestyle competition in a decade, and it's going to be huge. This is an invitational competition, so get ready to see the best of the best dual it out on features like never before! - The slopestyle for the WSI will be taking place in the Highest Level Park on Blackcomb. The line drops from above the gated entrance and uses the entire right side with a combo of huge jumps and big rails. The HL left jumps will be open to public throughout the week with the exception of April 21st when the Slopestyle event is on. On that day the left line will be open for spectators viewing the event and access will be via the top of the HL but no pass will be required.
